| As a tribute to Vero on her second year since she left us, nothing better than the feelings of whom
she considered her Dad, Ken Heathman, because of his true and paternal love and support, even though he was not her biological father: |
Verónica was the classic Venezuelan woman; beautiful in body and
soul, intelligent, and caring beyond belief. If you became her friend, you had a friend for life. Early in her life she realized that she had to be strong to help her mother raise her younger siblings, and Verónica carried that eagerness to help others throughout her life. She needed only
a father to love her and found one that thought she was the whole world.
She worried for all her friends and loved ones. She would have been a wonderful mother some day because she mothered each one of us, everyday. She had a Latin temper, but behind it was a fierce love and desire to help. If you loved Verónica, she loved you back twice. Her smile and love
of life will be deeply missed.
Verónica carried the soul of Venezuela with her, but was saddened by the direction that country is taking. She came to the U.S., her adopted country in 1994, and worked hard to share in, and contribute to the American dream. She graduated from Texas Tech University with honors and came back to Dallas, the city she loved. Her life was full. She was content and looking forward to the years ahead. Her passing has left a hole in all our hearts. She had matured into a beautiful young woman who would have continued to bestow many blessings on us. Life without Vero is unthinkable. She would be saddened now only because her death has caused such pain, and she would not have wished that upon us for the world. She believed strongly in God, and with the help of Verónica and God we will rejoice in her memory. Those that knew Vero will never forget her. She won't allow that. She will insist that you remember the good times. The memories she shared with you will help you through the difficult days ahead.

Love is Eternal,
Death is but the Limit of my sight"
